After intermittently discouraged with Autodesk I'm getting some IT help on Monday to download and launch this Īnd I'll see how that goes. ![]() I now am dabbling in Civil 3D and shocked that Autodesk has nothing in here for electrical design on a large scale or in our case communication network design. ![]() I created blocks with attributes for RUS codes (labor/material units) and developed a somewhat tedious method of extracting the attributes into Excel where it needs me to convert each cell to a number (not sure how to get around that since its a number already) and then I'd have to cut and paste the cost formulas in. Once I discovered the 3D aspect of the program I was able to build in vertical sections for slack loops, risers to aerial, etc. I have currently used AutoCAD MAP 3D for over 5 years doing FTTH and copper network designs. ![]() Curious to know if you've learned any strategies on this.
